Nicole has recently returned from an extensive month long European photography trip covering six nations. She visited her native Germany, as well as Austria, France, Hungary, Slovenia and the highlight of this exhibition Calabria in Southern Italy.

more »Nicole has recently returned from an extensive month long European photography trip covering six nations. She visited her native Germany, as well as Austria, France, Hungary, Slovenia and the highlight of this exhibition Calabria in Southern Italy.
"Calabria is a photographer's absolute dream. The landscape is wonderful with cliffs, rolling hills, lemon trees, red poppy fields, and crystal clear, blue ocean water." Nicole describes. "The people are so inviting, warm, and full of life and passion. I ventured out and embedded myself with the locals. Walking around their towns, tasting the spectacular Calabrian kitchen, gave me a great insight to life in Calabria. I watched and captured the moments they sat in the outdoor cafes, strolled the streets and chatted late into the evening."
"The architecture reflects a long and diverse past with monasteries, trading ports, Romanesque villas, and homes with roofs colored in so many shades of terra cotta." Nicole continues. "What I enjoyed the most was photographing the things that most take for granted. I believe it is only when we see images in a photograph do we appreciate and realize that we are surrounded by so many interesting things, and Calabria truly is a fantastic and beautiful place."
